Happy Mother's Day!!

Happy Mother's Day!!
I hope you are having a great Mother's Day!!  I am going to relax and enjoy it with my family today.  I want to share a card I made for my Mother this Mother's Day.  I wanted to make it an accordion style card but I screwed up so I made it like this.  It was super easy to do!!

I used 5 sheets of 6 x 12 paper (coordinating), floral embellishments, stamps, tapegun, ribbon, stickles, gems and brads. I found old pictures of my boys that I really loved and wanted to use.  It just shows how quickly these boys are growing up.

Cover:

Tag says:  I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, as long as I'm living my Mommy you'll be.

The only thing worth stealing is a kiss from a sleeping child.

GOOD LUCK!!

I have 3 friends doing their first triathlon in Tempe.  I got this idea from Robyn's post for a little treat she made for her tennis team...I thought I could do the same!!  I know they are super excited, maybe a little nervous...so I wanted to show some love and support.

I used my Going Places cartridge...it's a very underused, neglected cartridge.  I used, of course, glitter paper and some mirror/reflective type paper for the background.  In the treat bags are 2 types of granola squares (dark chocolate with peanut butter and peanut butter) and a package of almonds.

Have a wonderful day!!!

I am sooooo excite...I got an email today and won my first ever "blog candy" and it's a My Pink Stamper stamp set!!!  I can't wait to use it.

I hopped around blogs on Saturday for National Scrapbooking Day and left a comment on one of My Pink Stamper's design team member Tracy over at Craft Junkie too

Here is a picture of what the stamp set looks like.  I have a feeling it will be well loved and used often!!!

Thanks again Tracy!

No "Otter" Teacher Better!

Today is for Teacher Appreciation the students were asked to bring in a sweet treat for their teacher!!  Sean picked out the popsicle from Simply Charmed for the card.  We attached Otter Pops to the card to let her know that there is no "otter" teacher better than her and she is an amazing teacher to Sean and the "otter" students!!

It was super easy to make:  I used glitter paper, my gypsy, googly eyes, pop dots, coffee stirrer for the popsicle stick, ATG tapegun, Expression E2, "sweet" stamp from a Stamping Up set I got at a yard sale, spare paper and ribbon.  Easy Peasy!!

Have a Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezey type of day!!!

You are note worthy!

Today is the second day for the kids to bring in something for their teachers.  Today they were to bring in a card/note.  I had Sean look through my Cricut booklets and he feel in love with the pencil and paper from Simply Charmed.  As you can see I didn't make the paper, it didn't look "write" with white glitter paper so I 86'd that and decided to add #1 Teacher from Makin' the Grade.

I used, of course, glitter paper, scrap pieces of paper & ribbon for the card, Gypsy, Expression E2 & my trusty ATG tapegun.  He wrote a lovely message to his teacher.  I had him bring this note with a bag of Starbucks coffee and a coffee cup.  I hope she's enjoying being spoiled by him...he's given her quite a rough year!!!

Have a note worthy day!!

Teacher Appreciation Week!!! Day 2/Tuesday

Pinterest, oh Pinterest how do I love thee?!?!?   This website has made my life so organized and has sparked that crafty side to me that has been asleep!!!

Today is day 2 of Teacher Appreciation Week.  I loved this idea of the lemonade drink and tags "Thanks for "quenching" the thirst for knowledge".  They are all over Pinterest. We wanted kick it up a notch so we had straw cups personalized with our school's logo and in one of our school colors:  blue.  Our school colors are red, white and blue.

I used my Gypsy and Tags, Bags, Boxes & More cartridge to create tags the right size to attach the Crystal Light lemonade packets.  I used my Expression E2 to cut them as well as the preloaded Cricut Essentials cartridge to make the other tags.  I had to use glitter paper so I used paper from my DCWV the dots, stripes & plaids stack.  I created the name tags and other tag with a fun font from my computer.  It was a long process to create, however I know they will love them and know that they are appreciated!!!

Make sure to turn your lemons into lemonade whenever possible!!

Have a crafty kinda day!

Berry Sweet!!!

So besides our P.A.L.S group spoiling our teachers the student council sent home notes for the kiddos to spoil their teachers.  Each day something new.  So today, Tuesday, is Fruit.  I didn't want to give her a plan old apple.  I wanted something special and different.  I saw another "sweet" idea on, yes you guessed it, Pinterest and ran with this theme of strawberries.  I used Cricut Cartridge Simply Charmed and made a strawberry and the saying.  I am totally in love with glitter paper these days and orange...I just can't get enough!!

Tomorrow my son will give his 4th grade teacher a package of strawberries with this cute label on top.  Because I embossed the strawberry I am going to enter this craft into Sprinkle With Glitter's for her National Scrapbooking Day challenge.  National Scrapbooking Day was on Saturday, May 5th (my 40th bday...whohoo).

Here's her challenge:  Your National Scrapbook Day Challenge from me is to create a project using embossing.  You can create ANY type of project and use ANY type of embossing.

I used my cuttlebug and swiss dots to give the strawberry a 3D look and it looks a little more realistic?!?

I know my son's teacher will love this and I hope you did too!

Have a Berry Sweet Day!!
