Show Your Style Blog Hop Challenge

It's time for a My Pinkalicious Blog Hop with My Pink Stamper and her brand new design team. Here is the challenge...Show Your Style.
Challenge: Show us YOUR style making your favorite thing! This could be your favorite color combo, your favorite Cricut cartridge, your favorite technique, etc.

Here is what I am posting as my favorite technique & color combo!!

THE BIG DAY:
I am going to a wedding next weekend in Mexico and I needed to make a card to go with the gift my parents and I are giving. I did some searches online for some cute ideas and came across this person's CUTE cards and such.

I am "borrowing" one of her wonderful ideas for my card. The bride's colors are turquoise and cobalt blue...so I think this came out so, so, so SWEET!

My favorite technique is square, with a mat, glitter paper and Stickles.
My favorite color combo black & white

RECIPE:
**Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge (for wedding dress & tux lapels)
*Indie Art Cartridge (for diamond for tux)
*Beyond Celebrations Cartridge ("the big day")
*Glitter Paper Pack by Colorbok (loving me some glitter paper but I WILL NOT USE CHEAP PAPER AGAIN) As you can see some of the black glitter is on the white diamond and wedding dress
*True Blue Stickles
*Zots 3D clear adhesive dots
*Black 8 1/2 x 11 paper cut in half
*Tape Runner
*Darice Self Stick Gems
*Creative Memories Circle Punch 1 1/2"

I hope the new Mr & Mrs enjoy this homemade card.

Much love and crafting...
Cindy :)~

Caught Ya!

I am so super excited with this project. My son is attending a brand new school and I received an email from the principal asking me to decorate a shoe box for the teachers to put in it their "Caught Ya's". Caught Ya's at the school are for those students caught doing good things. I used stuff I already had on hand. I love how this turned out and I know our Principal really liked it.

The wooden apple I have had for a few years for another project, which I never used. I bought it at Hobby Lobby. I my letter stickers, I have had for years instead of writing "caught ya" on it. I used plain white Elmer's Glue to stick the paper to the shoe box. Then I made a homemade modge podge for the sticker letters and the top of the paper already glued on the box. I attached red ribbon, painted the inside of the box black and finally attached the apple with Zots 3D clear adhesive dots.

Fight Like a Girl!

I had the pleasure of meeting an amazing woman last year. Her and I have a mutual friend and met for the first time at the GLEE Concert in May 2010. She's a fellow GLEEk! A few months after the concert she learned she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has been fighting like a warrior!! She's had several surgeries and has the most positive mindset and attitude I have ever met!!!

I found this camouflage paper at Hobby Lobby and HAD TO BUY IT. I knew I wanted to make her a special card. I finally made one and going to be putting it in the mail. I hope it puts a smile on her face and lets her know how special and inspiring she is to everyone she knows.

4.25 x 6 Card Recipe:
*Camouflage paper from Hobby Lobby
*Black card stock from Hobby Lobby
*Martha Stewart Dolly Lace Edge punch on top and bottom of black paper
*Breast Cancer Ribbon (can't remember where I got it) I used 3D ZOTS (clear adhesive dots)
*"Fight Like a Girl" picture is from the internet, printed it on white card stock
*Pink paper 2.25 x 1.75 under picture
*Color Box Chalk inkpad Charcoal around the picture and pink paper

God Bless those that are fighting, have fought and have lost their fight to cancer!!! They are heroes in my eyes.

Birthday Card Swap and Inking it Up Design Team Submission

Hey crafty crafters out there!! I have posted a new card I made for a birthday card swap I have been invited to. This is my first card swap ever and I am super excited. I made a simple 3 1/2 x 5 inch birthday card. I used my Gypsy and brand new 12x12 teal cricut expression. I love her, she's soooooo beautiful to look at!! I used the Smiley Cards cartridge. I used the devine swirl folder to emboss the icing with my cuddlebug. I used the star dust Stickles to bling up her cheeks and tongue.

I have recently starting following another blog Inking it Up. I see she has a Design Team Call, so I am going to submit this card to possible get on her team.

Have a super crafty day!!

I am a part of the PTO this year for Sean's school. We like to recognize every month the Volunteer, Employee and Teacher of the month. Each person that wins receives a gift along with this handmade card. Here are some examples of the cards I have made for the upcoming months. Hope you enjoy!
