Berry Sweet!!!

So besides our P.A.L.S group spoiling our teachers the student council sent home notes for the kiddos to spoil their teachers.  Each day something new.  So today, Tuesday, is Fruit.  I didn't want to give her a plan old apple.  I wanted something special and different.  I saw another "sweet" idea on, yes you guessed it, Pinterest and ran with this theme of strawberries.  I used Cricut Cartridge Simply Charmed and made a strawberry and the saying.  I am totally in love with glitter paper these days and orange...I just can't get enough!!

Tomorrow my son will give his 4th grade teacher a package of strawberries with this cute label on top.  Because I embossed the strawberry I am going to enter this craft into Sprinkle With Glitter's for her National Scrapbooking Day challenge.  National Scrapbooking Day was on Saturday, May 5th (my 40th bday...whohoo).

Here's her challenge:  Your National Scrapbook Day Challenge from me is to create a project using embossing.  You can create ANY type of project and use ANY type of embossing.

I used my cuttlebug and swiss dots to give the strawberry a 3D look and it looks a little more realistic?!?

I know my son's teacher will love this and I hope you did too!

Have a Berry Sweet Day!!

HAPPY NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY, CINCO DE MAYO AND MY 40th BIRTHDAY!!!

I can not believe how I have neglected my blog!!  Today is MY day...my 40th birthday.  What a better way than to do something for me.  I am doing 40 nice things for myself during the month of May & June.   I have started off my birthday with a wonderfully cooked breakfast by the hubby and boys!!  They spoil me sooooo!!!

I am hopping around from my favorite blog and person in the world My Pink Stamper. I am entering this birthday card into Quick Chick Designs "let's get moving".  This birthday card was made from my Expression E2 (I got last year for my birthday!!) and the preloaded Cricut Decals, I used old baseball stickers for the card and baseball ticket holder. I hope you like it!!

Have a festive Cinco de Mayo, Happy National Scrapbooking Day and Birthday to me!!!

Much love!!

My Pinkalicious Blog Hop Challenge:

Challenge: Make a goodie bag or 3-D item that is for a Holiday. Any Holiday or Occasion will be perfect. If you want to join in on the fun...click here.

I have 3 goody bags to share with you!! All 3 bags have the same sort of candy but different looks.

First Bag: Have a SWEEEET Fall Break. These bags were made for my son's school for all the teachers and staff. I used Smiley Cards cartridge to make the candy corn card. I am totally INTO glitter paper and just can't get enough. I used pop dots to put up the note from our parent group for the teachers. We filled the bags with several kinds of candy corn.

Second Bag: Pumpkin Tears. These bags were handed out to all the students in my son's class. I tweeked a poem I found online to make it a little bit more appropiate for the kids. I used my spots & dots embossing folder for my cuddlebug and just cut the poems out in ovals using my Creative Memories cutting system. (I had to dust that thing off...all my creative memories stuff is so neglected these days). I used ink chalk to give the spots & dots more pop. I filled the bags with candy corn.

Third Bag: MOMS Club Halloween Bags. I used candy corn filled bags and made the cutest spiders for our annual MOMS Club Halloween party. I used googly eyes, glitter paper and scraps of paper I had on hand. I cut at 2.55 width x 1.84 height on my gypsy. I found this CUTE spider using the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. The spider is found under accessories 2, 3rd row, first button. I hid the mouth and eyes so I could attach the googly eyes to each one. Each spider has a pop dot under them to raise them up a little. I think these might be my favorite goody bag I made so far.

I hope you enjoyed some of my goody bags...not it's time to go blog hop some more and get more ideas for more goody bags!!

Have a great, crafty, glittery day!

Show Your Style Blog Hop Challenge

It's time for a My Pinkalicious Blog Hop with My Pink Stamper and her brand new design team. Here is the challenge...Show Your Style.
Challenge: Show us YOUR style making your favorite thing! This could be your favorite color combo, your favorite Cricut cartridge, your favorite technique, etc.

Here is what I am posting as my favorite technique & color combo!!

THE BIG DAY:
I am going to a wedding next weekend in Mexico and I needed to make a card to go with the gift my parents and I are giving. I did some searches online for some cute ideas and came across this person's CUTE cards and such.

I am "borrowing" one of her wonderful ideas for my card. The bride's colors are turquoise and cobalt blue...so I think this came out so, so, so SWEET!

My favorite technique is square, with a mat, glitter paper and Stickles.
My favorite color combo black & white

RECIPE:
**Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge (for wedding dress & tux lapels)
*Indie Art Cartridge (for diamond for tux)
*Beyond Celebrations Cartridge ("the big day")
*Glitter Paper Pack by Colorbok (loving me some glitter paper but I WILL NOT USE CHEAP PAPER AGAIN) As you can see some of the black glitter is on the white diamond and wedding dress
*True Blue Stickles
*Zots 3D clear adhesive dots
*Black 8 1/2 x 11 paper cut in half
*Tape Runner
*Darice Self Stick Gems
*Creative Memories Circle Punch 1 1/2"

I hope the new Mr & Mrs enjoy this homemade card.

Much love and crafting...
Cindy :)~

12 Days of Christmas (Day 8 Challenge)

My favorite crafty person to follow, My Pink Stamper, is doing the 12 days of Christmas Challenge. I made a very, very, very SUPER simple, almost embarrassing to post 12x12 layout page. This is a color challenge....use teal or blue, green and brown. I used NO Cricut and just put down paper boarders ready to put pictures of Ted and Ryan. I swear 2011 I am going to scrapbook at least once a week...that is my New Years resolution!!! I did NOTHING in 2010...so 2011 I am going to get caught up!!!

Christmas Kisses...

Cindy :)~

12 Days of Christmas (Day 6 Challenge)

The Pink Stamper has the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge. Day 6's challenge is to make a Christmas card or scrapbook layout. If you don't celebrate Christmas then do a Winter themed project. I made a Christmas card to send to my niece with a gift card inside. It's super simple because I have the holiday head cold and can't be that creative. I hope she likes it.

Merry Christmas Kisses...

Enjoy!

My Pink Stamper Challenge

My first blog EVER on my first EVER blog!! WHOHOO...watch out world here I am!!

My Pink Stamper (my favorite crafty person) posted a challenge for today, make something to honor those who serve us in remembrance of this important day...September 11. 9 years ago today, I think almost everyone remembers where they were, what they were doing, who they were with and so on. It's so hard to believe 9 years ago today we all were paralyzed in fear. Ted and I were in Chicago having just celebrated with family and friends our first baby shower. I was pregnant with our first child and that morning I was showering to get ready for my flight back home to AZ. I came out of the bathroom to Ted watching the Today Show and we watched live as the second plane flew into the Twin Towers. I called my parents to see if they were watching this too, they are early risers so I figured they were up, I woke my Mom up asking her if she was watching what was going on. Once we got dressed and ready we went to the lobby where almost everyone from the hotel was gathered watching the TV.

Ted and I drove back to AZ. It was the worst drive back...poor Ted had to drive the whole way because the little one growing in me was pushing on parts of me and making it really uncomfortable for me to sit the whole drive home. Luckily Ted had Harry Potter on tape to listen to, when we didn't have any good radio signal to hear what was going on in the world. We will never forget that drive, that day but most of all the biggest thing that stands out in my mind it how eerie and weird the sky looked with no planes in it. Once we got to AZ, I remember we saw our first plane, it was like seeing the first plane EVER in our lives.

God Bless all of those lives lost, to the families who were forever changed in a single moment and to our nation. Thank you to all of those that serve to protect and defend our nation!!
