Happy 60th Birthday

Hey Blog Hoppers!!! Over at Kassidy's Inking It Up Blog it's World Cardmaking Day. Thanks for hoppin' on over to my little blog for some Glitter and Bling!!! Being in a household with all boys it's nice to be able to do some projects that are girly. Today I made a 60th birthday card for a mother of a dear high school friend. She reached out to almost everyone she knows to honor her mother with a HUGE surprise. She wanted everyone to mail her mother a birthday card so she got at least 60 cards before her big day. I thought it was such a sweet idea, I had to make her something.

Today I used my newest/favorite thing to work with Pearlescent Paper by Colorbok. I found this paper pack at Wal-Mart. I used the bright pack. I love this paper because it looks like glitter paper BUT I don't get glitter EVERYWHERE.
This is the paper palette I choose, the one color looks orange but it's yellow. I wanted my card to be bright and full of celebration.

RECIPE:
  • Gypsy
  • E2
  • Pearlescent Paper by Colorbok (purple, pink, green & yellow)
  • Stickles (yellow & stardust)
  • Stampin' Up "happy birthday to you"
  • Sticky Thumb dimensionals
  • Cupcake Cricut Cartridge
  • Celebrations Cricut Cartridge
  • Brads
  • Adhesive

After cutting my images, as seen on my Gypsy, I assembled my card. The card needed some extra pop, so I added some Stickles for some extra GLITTER and then 2 brads for some BLING.

In order for the cupcakes to stand out, I popped them up using Sticky Thumb Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed my card.

Have a Glittery, Blingy kinda day!!
Cindy :)~

It's a Potty!!

I loved making this page sooooooo much!! Here's something I made when I was a part of Inking It Up Crazy "Old School" BLOG HOP

RECIPE:
*
Gypsy
* Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge
* 2 6" x 12" Provo Craft Doodlecharms paper pack
* Karen Foster Design Card Stock Stickers "Potty Training 2"
* Brads
* Tape Runner

I used my gypsy and the card frame option for Stretching Your Imagination. X is at -0.23, Y is at -0.00, Width is 12.58" and Height is 12". It will be larger. I did it this size because I didn't want so much of a blue boarder around the page. I love how this looks. I plan on using other cartridges and making fun backgrounds for my scrapbook pages. It's definitely fun and allows me to step outside my scrapbooking box.

Card Frame can be found 4th row, 7 squares in<---

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my work.
Have a great day!!!

Make sure to check out each member's blog. There will be some fun prizes along the way, AND there will be some AWESOME ideas!

YOU MAKE ME SMILE SUNFLOWER CARD

ITEMS USED:
*Cricut Cartridge: Stretch Your Imagination
*White Card Stock cut 4.25'h x 9.75'w
*Green Polka Dot Card Stock cut 4' x 4'
*Orange Strip cut 4' x 2'
*Hemp Cord
*Stickles Cinnamon Color
*Brown Card Stock
*Green Glitter Card Stock
*Orange Card Stock
*Xyron Create-a-Sticker
*Stampin' Up "Simple Sayings II"
*Gypsy
*Cricut
*Scotch Tape
*Scrapbook Tape Runner

RECIPE:
1. Fold White Card Stock at the 4.25'

2.
Attach orange strip to right side of card base

3.
Attach hemp cord with peace of scotch tape to back of green paper, wrap around as much as you'd like and attach to the back with another piece of scotch tape

4.
Attach green paper to card base

5.
Using my Gypsy I created 2 sunflowers by using the shift function. Their dimensions are at 1.46'w x 3.82'h. I cut 2 of them using brown card stock. Since I was using scraps for the flower and stem, I used the hide feature when cutting them. I cut 2 flowers in orange card stock while hiding the stems and 2 stems in the green glitter paper while hiding the flowers. This function on the Gypsy is something I use on most everything I cut...it saves time and paper.

6. I used my Xyron Create-a-Sticker to assemble the flowers and attached it on top of the cord.

7. In order to make the card POP I used my new Cinnamon color Stickles
for the center of the flower.

8. Lastly I stamped a simple saying to the card. I am new to the card making world so I only have a few stamps...I hope to add more to my collection as I am really enjoying this new found creative outlet.

I hope you enjoyed my card and it made you smile!!

Thanks for "kickin' it" with me "old school" while I was "stretching my imagination" on my FIRST EVER blog hop. Next stop...Kathy's blog Kathy and Kids

Red, White and Blue

I am so excited to share this project with you. Kassidy a.k.a. Inking It Up Crazy picked me to be a guest designer on her blog. I was asked to make something with Red, White and Blue on this President's Day. I had this 12x12 page 1/2 made for a long time....so I figured NOW was the time to finish it (now let's see how long it takes me to print up the 2 pictures for this page...LOL).

I hope you enjoy this simple page.

Cindy :)~

Recipe:
All American Boys Cuttin' Up Cartridge Serifs Font (used Gypsy to weld the letters)
Summer Stretch your Imagination Silhouette
Star paper from All About Boys paper stack

Birthday Card Swap and Inking it Up Design Team Submission

Hey crafty crafters out there!! I have posted a new card I made for a birthday card swap I have been invited to. This is my first card swap ever and I am super excited. I made a simple 3 1/2 x 5 inch birthday card. I used my Gypsy and brand new 12x12 teal cricut expression. I love her, she's soooooo beautiful to look at!! I used the Smiley Cards cartridge. I used the devine swirl folder to emboss the icing with my cuddlebug. I used the star dust Stickles to bling up her cheeks and tongue.

I have recently starting following another blog Inking it Up. I see she has a Design Team Call, so I am going to submit this card to possible get on her team.

Have a super crafty day!!
