Another Challenge:

I am a big fan of Kassidy over at Inking It Up Crazy. Click here to read her post on this super FUN challenge. I made a really cute scrapbooking page. I plan on using it for the MOMS Club Halloween party I attended with my two boys a.k.a Mario & Red Ninja

Here is what this weeks challenge is:
Make a project using: Black, Orange and Purple

I used some extra spiders from the goody bags (see previous post for the info on the spiders) I handed out, 2 pieces of 6x12 cricut paper (taped the sides to make a 12x12 page), stickers I found at Walmart, purple Studio G pigment ink and extra paper scraps for the picture boarders. I really like how this turned out

Have a spooky day!!!

My Pinkalicious Blog Hop Challenge:

Challenge: Make a goodie bag or 3-D item that is for a Holiday. Any Holiday or Occasion will be perfect. If you want to join in on the fun...click here.

I have 3 goody bags to share with you!! All 3 bags have the same sort of candy but different looks.

First Bag: Have a SWEEEET Fall Break. These bags were made for my son's school for all the teachers and staff. I used Smiley Cards cartridge to make the candy corn card. I am totally INTO glitter paper and just can't get enough. I used pop dots to put up the note from our parent group for the teachers. We filled the bags with several kinds of candy corn.

Second Bag: Pumpkin Tears. These bags were handed out to all the students in my son's class. I tweeked a poem I found online to make it a little bit more appropiate for the kids. I used my spots & dots embossing folder for my cuddlebug and just cut the poems out in ovals using my Creative Memories cutting system. (I had to dust that thing off...all my creative memories stuff is so neglected these days). I used ink chalk to give the spots & dots more pop. I filled the bags with candy corn.

Third Bag: MOMS Club Halloween Bags. I used candy corn filled bags and made the cutest spiders for our annual MOMS Club Halloween party. I used googly eyes, glitter paper and scraps of paper I had on hand. I cut at 2.55 width x 1.84 height on my gypsy. I found this CUTE spider using the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. The spider is found under accessories 2, 3rd row, first button. I hid the mouth and eyes so I could attach the googly eyes to each one. Each spider has a pop dot under them to raise them up a little. I think these might be my favorite goody bag I made so far.

I hope you enjoyed some of my goody bags...not it's time to go blog hop some more and get more ideas for more goody bags!!

Have a great, crafty, glittery day!

Happy 60th Birthday

Hey Blog Hoppers!!! Over at Kassidy's Inking It Up Blog it's World Cardmaking Day. Thanks for hoppin' on over to my little blog for some Glitter and Bling!!! Being in a household with all boys it's nice to be able to do some projects that are girly. Today I made a 60th birthday card for a mother of a dear high school friend. She reached out to almost everyone she knows to honor her mother with a HUGE surprise. She wanted everyone to mail her mother a birthday card so she got at least 60 cards before her big day. I thought it was such a sweet idea, I had to make her something.

Today I used my newest/favorite thing to work with Pearlescent Paper by Colorbok. I found this paper pack at Wal-Mart. I used the bright pack. I love this paper because it looks like glitter paper BUT I don't get glitter EVERYWHERE.
This is the paper palette I choose, the one color looks orange but it's yellow. I wanted my card to be bright and full of celebration.

RECIPE:
  • Gypsy
  • E2
  • Pearlescent Paper by Colorbok (purple, pink, green & yellow)
  • Stickles (yellow & stardust)
  • Stampin' Up "happy birthday to you"
  • Sticky Thumb dimensionals
  • Cupcake Cricut Cartridge
  • Celebrations Cricut Cartridge
  • Brads
  • Adhesive

After cutting my images, as seen on my Gypsy, I assembled my card. The card needed some extra pop, so I added some Stickles for some extra GLITTER and then 2 brads for some BLING.

In order for the cupcakes to stand out, I popped them up using Sticky Thumb Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed my card.

Have a Glittery, Blingy kinda day!!
Cindy :)~
